Golf Tournament

The previous Michael S. Jacobs Memorial Golf Tournament's were a huge success! The participation of many have made it possible to award $28,000 in scholarships to incoming college freshman.

The Michael S. Jacobs Foundation would like to invite you to participate as a player or hole sponsor in the 5th Annual Michael S. Jacobs Memorial Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, July 24th, 2009 with a 1:00 p.m shotgun start at Highlands Ranch Golf Club. The tournament format will be a Four man best ball shamble. We would be honored to have your participation in this worthy cause. The cost to participate in this tournament is $150.00 per player or you can be a hole sponsor for $1,250.00 which includes a foursome and company logo at your sponsored hole. Both include lunch after the tournament, a Izod or Tehama golf shirt and a foundation hat. We are honoring our late partner, who unexpectedly passed away on July 22, 2004.

The proceeds from this golf tournament will go toward four athletic scholarships we have established in Mike’s name. The Michael S. Jacobs Foundation will review essays along with a scholarship application submitted by local area high school seniors. Each senior will be required to have a 3.5 GPA, played varsity baseball or golf and be accepted at a junior college or university. Each applicant will have to explain in a 500 word essay the positive impact baseball or golf has had on his or her life and why he or she merits a scholarship.

We have also partnered with Meningioma Mommas, a Highlands Ranch-based non-profit that serves the needs of over 2,500 people affected by meningioma brain tumors. We have made a commitment to help fight this devastating disease, which I know first hand the effects of as my wife, Liz, is a 7-year survivor.

Ideally located just 15 minutes south of downtown Denver and 10 minutes west of the Denver Technology Center, the course is easily accessible to everyone. Take highway C-470 west from I-25 to Lucent Blvd., proceed south on Lucent Blvd. for approximately 1/2 mile, turn right on Town Center Drive and proceed west about 1/4 mile to Creekside Way, turn right and you are there.
